Geochemistry and Environmental Health: Uranium in Cornwall

The distribution of uranium in Cornwall is reviewed. Evidence for its occurrence in soil, plants and water is presented. A brief examination of the metabolism and pathways of movement of uranium suggests that the people of Cornwall are not at significant risk from the uranium found in the county.
